- Can skip counting be applied with any number?(15 votes)
- Yes, skip-counting can be applied to any number!
You can skip-count by 5 or 10 or 2 or 4 or 7 or any whole (counting) number you can think of.(18 votes)
- What does skip counting by ten mean?(2 votes)
- You would only count every 10th number. For example, if you were to 'skip count by 10s' starting at 0, you would say "0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50..." so on. If you were to start at 6, you would say "6, 16, 26, 36, 46..."(4 votes)
- Can you skip count by decimals? Can you skip count by fractions?(1 vote)
- yes you can. It is just adding.
with decimal, count by 0.05 starting at 1
1.05, 1.10. 1.15,..., 1.95, 2.00, 2.05 ...
with fraction it is a little bit more complicated, but still doable.
count by halves 1/2 starting from 3/8. to make it the addition simpler first express 1/2 in octaves. you can do that by multiplying by 4/4 since 4/4 = 1, you don't alter the value of 1/2.
1/2 x 4/4 = 4/8 skipping by halves turn into skipping by 4/8
3/8 + 4/8 = 7/8
3/8, 7/8, 11/8...(1 vote)
- Is it possible to count by 5s forever?(0 votes)
- Yes. From whatever number you're at, you can always add 5 to it, which means you should be able to count by 5s for as long as you want.(1 vote)

- When counting by 5s starting from 179, When counting by 5s starting from 179, which numbers will you say? So, let's do that. Let's start with 179,
and let's count by 5s. So, 179 + 5 is equal to what. Well, 179. One way I think about it, 179 + 5 is the same thing as 179 + 1 + 4, and I've added 1 just so I get to 180. So, this part right here is equal to 180, so it's gonna be the
same thing as 180 + 4, so it's equal to 184. Now, let's keep going. So, we start at 179, then we go to 184. Then if we want to add 5 to that, well, 184 + 5, we add 5 in the ones place, we get 189. Now, if we add 5 again, we're gonna do just what we had over here. 189 + 5, that's the same thing as 189 + 1 + 4. 189 + 1 is 190, plus 4 is 194. So, this is gonna be 194. And then, if you add 5,
you're going to get 199. I just added the 5 to this
4 here in the ones place. Now, if you add 5 again. This would be 199 + 5 is the
same thing as 199 + 1 + 4. So, 199 + 1 is 200, plus 4 is 204. So, let's see which of
these numbers we see so far. So, we saw 184. We see 189. We didn't see 186. We saw 194. We saw 199. and we saw 204. And we are done.
