• Me: visible confusion
Why would you make a -5 into a positive 5?
Ok now im mad confused lmao
• becase when you subtract a negetive number it becomes positive .
• can you do a video just like this but with fractions?
• Fractions are mean
• i very much agree
• The questions that are actually asked on the tests just say "which equations are true?" and Sal did not mention how to solve or go about any questions like that. Does anyone here know how to answer questions that asks "which equations are true" where they simply give you options with different variables?
• Raul, Gillette, the best a man can get. rrrrrrrrraul!

this is the two time.😂
• two times dee.......
• please help my poor brain I have no idea what or how u put negatives into positives... like does anyone know am I just the only one that's dumb or can like someone explain this to me...?
• the only reason is two negatives equal a positive is because you can't really have two negatives. think of it like batteries: you can't have two negatives. two negatives equal a positive because they cancel the other one out. another way to solve these problems is to look and see if the "negative" or "positive" signs are the same. if they're the same (like two negatives or two positives), then the answer is positive. if the signs are different (one negative and one positive), the answer is negative. i hope this helps! :)
• I'm having a really hard time understanding any of the answers. I don't understand the negative signs outside of the parenthesis, and I don't understand when the negative symbol is within the parenthesis. I wasn't struggling this much until I got to this lesson. Any help?
• Maybe this will help. If there is one negative sign such as -5 or +(-5) or -(5) then answer is negative (all -5). If there are two negative signs -(-4) then answer is positive (4).
