• Why do we need to know the ages of her friends?
• We don't but they just put that information to trick you
• Why would he go throw 6's to see what the answer is? Why can't he just draw an rectangle and put 8 on the top because it the longest. And put an 6 on the side because it is short . the when he done he can just use multipy them to get the answer.
• But we're not looking for 6 times 8 = ?. In this problem we're looking for 48 divided by 6 = ? We're not looking for the total 48, we're looking for the multiple 8. You have to divide, not multiply.
• Did Sal draw the blueberries?
• Yes, Sal most likely drew the blueberries.

Hope this helps!

• Great question! This is an example of dividing with a remainder. Sal gives an example with 6 friends. If you were to divide 49 blueberries evenly amongst 6 friends, you would still get 6 groups with 8 blueberries in each group, which would still come to 48 blueberries, but now you have 1 extra blueberry left over! This extra blueberry is the remainder. You could then go on to divide the remaining blueberry into 6 equal parts so that each group contains 8 blueberries + 1/6 of a blueberry. Though I think it might be difficult to cut a blueberry up that small, so I would leave it as 6 groups of 8 blueberries with 1 blueberry as the remainder. Hope this answers your question!
• If anyone asks why are there the ages for the children I
will it's just a trick for people to get confused then
they will get the question wrong so for the last time
IGNORE THE AGES!!
• what is 7 x 7
• The answer is as follows:

`` 7x 7——— 49``

So, the answer to your question of `7 x 7 = 49`

Hope this helps!
