• how does the first game (regular squiggles with overs and unders) connect to math??
• The overs and unders are part of knot theory. It's a pretty cool field of mathematics you can get into in college.
• At is "parseltounge" inspired by a programming language/whatsoever? Because `open()` (what the right snake said) is a Python function for opening files.
• No, Parseltounge is a snake language used in Harry Potter where snakes speak to each other and people who speak Parseltounge. Vi has the snake saying the Parseltounge word for "open", which makes the joke even funnier. Jussst something fun she snuck in!
• What are Duborromean rings at ?
• If you watch her video on youtube called borromean onion rings, you will find her explanation clear.

The borromean eings jave the brunnian property, the one Isaac talked about, that the Borrommean rings share with braids.

• Does anyone else here the sound glitch at ?
• At , for the Ouroborromean rings, where does the concept come from?
• The Ourpborromean rings is a portmantaue of ourobori and the borommean rings. Vi made a video on borommean rings on youtube, called boromean onion rings.
• At , there are two white spaces that appear to be next to each other.
Is that allowed?
• I see what you are talking about. It is very hard to see, but one of them is colored pink. Check out

or maybe she just forgot a square...
• why does this video have so much harry potter in it ?
speaking of harry potter, i'm on book six. :)
• The video has lots of Harry potter content in it because Vi Hart loves Harry Potter. (who doesnt)

• Wow... the shading is amazing, and so is the idea and technique :) but quick question please, what does this have to do with math? Like, what connects it to math? I'm guessing it has something to do with geometry? I'm not much of a math person, more of a reading.
• Vi talks about several different fields of math, not just geometry. With the shading game, she is talking about graph theory. With the weaving game, she is talking about knot theory. With the surface game, she is venturing into topology.
• How are you so good at drawing?
