Blended Learning Universe
An emerging database that provides brief case studies of organizations that are beginning to blend online learning with supervised brick-and-mortar settings. The profiles do not evaluate the programs, nor do they represent an endorsement. Instead, they are purely descriptive in an attempt to provide a clearer picture of the emerging field. Profiles may be filtered according to the variables presented in the search boxes below.

- Is the link to the Blended learning model definitions broken for anyone else?(6 votes)
- Hello.
In regards to playlists, I would like to know how (or if) anyone got around the youtube ads. I am actually okay with ads, but even in safe mode, I am seeing a trailer for 50 Shades of Grey, etc., and am not comfortable using playlists with students without this issue being resolved.
Thank you.(3 votes)- If you insert the videos into a Google Slide, it gets rid of the ads. It will then only show the video, and you can share the link with your students without fear of any ads popping up.(3 votes)
- For a classroom to be flipped the students need to have access to internet at home. This is not the reality at my school. Any suggestion on how to navigate through this problem?(1 vote)
- If flipped is where you are set on heading, a plan B is going to be needed almost every time. Someone is going to need a non-internet version at some point even in the most tech-centric schools. I heard of flash drives being used, DVDs, and printed materials. If you plan enough in advance, the DVD is a good option. USB is good when you don't have the ability to plan so far ahead, but requires that the student at least have a computer. When all else fails, teachers have been flipping for years with reading based homework.(4 votes)

- What is the best way to introduce blended learning to all staff to ensure teacher buy-in?(1 vote)
- I think getting teacher-buy in is going to be the number one priority to ensure success. To begin I would get teachers who have already "bought" the concept to champion more reluctant teachers. Next, it's going to require tons of professional development and motivational leaders and maybe even some out of the box thinking.(2 votes)
- I imagine that most people watching this are teachers, other than corsera/khan/mitx/and moodle, what are your go to places for online blended learning resources?(1 vote)
