- But what about the time it takes as it passes through the electric field?(3 votes)
- sry for the late answer...
charged particles spend most of their time revolving in dees, so the time they take while passing, is insignificant.(4 votes)
- sir, why does the frequency of the oscillations have the stay a constant anyway to begin with?(1 vote)
- @Benjamin Pang the frequency becomes constant only when the object's mass remains constant. But for such charged particles,if they all approach the speed of light then E'sTOR comes into play. Mass increases. If that happens it might hit the wall and decelerate. If it is also not kept constant the fields won't be able to flip at the right moment and then it won't be a Cyclotron anymore.
