• Perhaps they would only test our knowledge. If from air to glass/water refraction angle of incidence is > than angle of of refraction and if from glass/water to air refraction the angle of incidence is < than angle of refraction. Our answers could include angles that are based on this principle and not so much on the calculations. for example, if we have refraction from air to a glass and the angle of incidence is 60* what is the angle of refraction?

the answers is obviously C, even if we didn't do any calculations we would know the correct answer because when refraction occurs from a less dense medium to a more dense medium like air to glass the angle of incidence is > than the angle of refraction.
