Lesson 5: LCR series circuit (basics)Impedance & phase angle of series L.C.R circuit
This interactive article will guide you in solving a series LCR circuit - deriving the expression for impedance and phase angle - using phasor diagrams.

- Where is the video on phasor diagrams?(3 votes)
- I don't understand the last part of the last video where you mention setting C and L as 0 for a purely resistive circuit as that would lead to infinite impedance.(2 votes)
- I honestly feel like it's more of the reactances being 0 than the actual capacitance or inductance being 0. If there are no capacitors or inductors, they would have no contribution to the total opposition to current (a.k.a impedance).(3 votes)
- at4:40you said L and C equal to 0 then Xc and X
L
vanishes but Xc = 1/wC if C=0 then Xc = ∞ !! then Z = ∞.(0 votes)- If this is true that means current is zero for that moment(1 vote)
