- My only question is, why get rid of the dashboard format for SAT prep? The new version seems much less intuitive and less useful for continuous SAT prep.(51 votes)
- Exactly! The dashboard was really good and intuitive imo. Hope they add it back soon.(13 votes)

- Please don't get rid of the SAT practice. It would still be useful for AP Lang practice.(32 votes)

"Official Digital SAT Prep on Khan Academy." We're glad you're here. As you may have heard,
the SAT is changing. Starting in 2023, the SAT
will gradually transition into a digital test, replacing
the paper and pencil version. So what is the Digital SAT? The new test will be taken on a laptop or tablet using Bluebook, a
testing platform developed by College Board to
provide a more convenient and secure testing experience. The new test will also be shorter, about two hours instead of three, and will include new question
styles designed to better test underlying skills within
the digital format, including shorter reading passages, and you'll be able to use a calculator on the entire math section. While the transition to
digital will bring a number of student and educator friendly changes, many important features of
the SAT will stay the same. The Digital SAT will continue
to measure the knowledge and skills that students
are learning in school and that matter most for
college and career readiness. Now, as the transition to
digital occurs gradually, you may be wondering, "Will
I be taking the Digital SAT?" Great question. Starting in March 2023, the
Digital SAT will be administered to all students taking the test outside the United States
or its territories. Starting in spring 2024, the Digital SAT will be
taken by all students, both outside of and within the US. So if you're planning
to take the SAT in 2023, you should prepare for the Digital SAT only if you'll be taking the test outside of the United States. If you plan to take the
SAT in 2023 within the US, you should prepare for the
paper and pencil version of the test using Khan
Academy's official SAT practice. If you're planning to take
the SAT in 2024 or later, regardless of location,
you're in the right place. As your Digital SAT test date approaches, we recommend two types of practice, practice tests and skill practice. You can take official full-length
Digital SAT practice tests using College Board's Bluebook app. Full-length practice tests
give you the best idea of what test day will be like, offering the ideal opportunity
to both test your skills and become familiar with
the testing platform. After taking each practice test, you can review your performance
and read answer explanations to the questions you missed. We recommend taking
full-length practice tests at set intervals throughout
your test prep journey. Starting with a practice test will allow you to diagnose the areas where you need the most practice. Future practice tests will
allow you to gauge your progress and build endurance and
experience for test day. You can use official Digital
SAT prep on Khan Academy to learn more about the test
and practice individual skills. You can read articles and watch videos that walk you through
every type of question that might appear on the test. You can then practice those
skills and test yourself in the related exercises. As you progress through the course, we'll keep track of all the
skills you've worked on. As you become more proficient
in more and more skills, you'll become more prepared for test day. We're glad you're here at Kahn Academy, and we're excited to help you
achieve the best score you can on your Digital SAT. Good luck. You've got this. (light music)
