Unit cube:
A cube has a visible front, right hand side, and top faces.
What is the volume of the rectangular prism?
Some of the cubes might be hidden behind other cubes. Try to visualize all of the cubes.
The front face of the rectangular prism has 9 cubes: 3 rows, 3 columns. The top face of the rectangular prism has 6 cubes: 2 rows, 3 columns. The right-hand side face of the rectangular prism has 6 cubes: 3 rows, 2 columns.
